This “parm” is a great dairy free alternative for sprinkling on top of pastas, salads, veggie bowls, casseroles, dips and more! It’s a nutritious blend of almonds, sesame seeds, nutritional yeast, and sea salt, which closely resembles a parmesan cheese when blended briefly into a coarse texture.
I make it every couple of weeks and store it in the fridge in a sealed glass jar. Then its handy for using when desired. Make sure to blend briefly as you don’t want the almonds to release oil or you’ll be making an almond butter!
- ½ cup Almonds
- 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
- ½ tsp Herbamare or Sea Salt
- Put everything in a blender and pulse until you have a parmesan texture.
- Put mixture in a glass jar with lid and store in the fridge. Keeps well for severals weeks.
- Sprinkle on various pasta dishes, salads, pizzas, and more!
